As will be recalled, the Syrian news agency “Sana” reported tonight that Syria’s air defense systems were activated against an attack attributed to Israel in the area of ​​the city of Masiaf in the west of the country. The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that the attack was carried out using a number of missiles launched from northern Lebanon. It was also reported that “the air defense systems successfully intercepted the attack and shot down most of the missiles.”

Senior officials in the country confirmed to the Syrian Center for Human Rights that in action, weapons depots and headquarters of pro-Iranian militias and regime forces were attacked near the center for scientific research in the region.
