At the end of extra time: 4: 5 crazy for Everton over Tottenham

Beginning of an article

The quarter-final of the English Cup continues tonight (Wednesday) with four more games: In the first of which, Manchester City did not have too much trouble and got the ticket to the quarter with a 1: 3 victory over Swansea from the second division. After that, Leicester also went up with 0: 1 over Brighton in the 95th minute – but the one who stole the show was Everton, who recorded a crazy 4: 5 against Tottenham after extra time. Sheffield United joined the immigrants with 0: 1 over Bristol City.

Everton – Tottenham 4: 5
After seeing Manchester City and Leicester qualify, Jose Mourinho wanted too – but dreams aside and reality aside. The Spurs opened well and took the lead within three minutes at the feet of Davison Sanchez, but just before the end of the first half came an unusual Everton blitz. Dominic Calbert-Levin (36) equalized, Richerlison (38) turned and Gilfi Sigurdsson (43) increased the lead with an accurate free kick.

Luckily for Mourinho, Eric Lamela managed to shrink deep within the extra time of the first half and Sanchez completed a double in the 57th minute – but if you thought this was where the celebration ended, you were wrong and big time! In the 68th minute, Richarlison also completed a pair of his own and returned the advantage to Everton – and just when the story seemed over, Harry Kane (83) woke up and sent the game into extra time. In overtime, Bernard (97) returned the advantage to the host from Sigurdsson’s third cook and secured Everton the ticket to the quarter-finals.

Swansea – Manchester City 3: 1
The Champions League team did not make life too difficult for Pep Guardiola’s side, who came in with 200 wins on City’s lines. Similar to their previous two cup games, the Blues have found the net three times (after the 0-3 draw against Birmingham and the 1-3 draw against Cheltenham).

The scorers were Kyle Walker (30), Raheem Sterling (47) and Gabriel Jesus (50). The first two were cooked by Rodry, and the third cooking was provided by Bernardo Silva. Morgan Whitaker shrank only (77).

Leicester – Brighton 0: 1
After the victories over Stoke and Brentford, this time the Foxes met a rival from the Premier League and had a little more difficulty. A dramatic goal in the 95th minute by Kalchi Ihanacho, who hit the net well, set the final score.

Another result: Sheffield United – Bristol City 0: 1 (Billy Sharp, 66).
