ASUS ROG 2021 ASUS ROG “Making of Masters” Academy has been a great success

ASUS ROG Academy has been gradually gaining steam since it was announced a few days ago.

The program had already received over 2350 registrations within 10 days of announcement. After some observation, it has been confirmed that the majority of recordings have come from the 16-20 age group.

For those ignorant, the ASUS ROG Academy is an effort by the Taiwanese group to cultivate and empower game lovers in India.

The initiative will help ASUS ROG identify talented PC gamers “through a screening process and enable them to hone and enhance their skills and prepare them for competitive E-sports competitions nationally and globally.”

Speaking on the news, Arnold Su, Head of Business, PC Consumer and Gaming, System Industry Group, ASUS India said

“The number of online gamers in India grew by 31% in 2019 and reached around 365 million; it is expected to reach 440 million by 2022 according to the FICCI-EY report on the media and entertainment industry. ”

“As a result of the pandemic, we are seeing a lasting shift in global content consumption patterns and greater digital acceleration. With an increase in Esports gamers during the pandemic, ASUS has strengthened their commitment towards investing in the gaming industry in India in the future. We are delighted to be the first brand in the laptop sector to introduce a unique campaign such as ROG Academy, empowering gamers to win competitions and boost the Esports business. ”

“We aim to inspire more and more gamers, advise them along the way, and experience opportunities in this environment in the future. This initiative will provide a major impetus to establish a group of credible Esports players in India and pave the way for next generation gamers with access to resources, mentoring and training ”.

ASUS ROG Academy Curriculum and Time

The ASUS ROG Academy aims to grow an esports talent pool in India, and conduct performance testing ranging from individual skills training to counseling and team communication.

6 players will be selected for the 3 month program, which includes special training sessions to improve individual performance as well as team performance.

ASUS ROG Academy Awards and Outcomes

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be the only official title in the first batch of the program. The selection process will consist of a panel of representatives from ASUS ROG themselves, partner companies, and celebrities from the CS: GO community of India as well.

In addition, the 6 participants will be given INR 1,00,000 in the first quarter, upon completion of their training, along with monthly stipends of INR 15,000 during the 3 months of their training.

Also, the players will continue to represent ASUS ROG for an additional 3 months while participating in any tournaments or competitive events.

While the registration for the first batch of the ASUS ROG Academy program is done, the agency will announce the registrations for the next batch soon.
