The release of Android 11 has been very fast due to the rapid release from Samsung and others, but many OEMs are still far behind. This week, Asus is finally starting the release on Android 11 with the ZenFone 7 and 7 Pro.
Starting in Taiwan, the Asus ZenFone 7 and 7 Pro are getting their stable updates on Android 11. The release will include new Android 11 features, such as bubbles, better notification organization, and more controls privacy. Asus has also kept Android 11’s useful smart home controls in the power table (via XDA).
Asus says, “if all goes well,” owners of the ZenFone 7 series worldwide can expect to launch the latest version of Android “seen in waves.”
In related news, Android 11 is also well on its way to Asus ROG Phone 3. After testing testers last month, beta updates will be given to these users with the version number 18.0410. 2101.80. As this is a closed beta, you will not be able to get the update on your device, but it is very clear that progress is being made. Most likely, the update will be widely distributed in the next few weeks, but we need to keep an eye on that at this point.
