A few weeks ago, Valhalla Creed Assassin players saw a handful of new abilities in the game’s complex skill tree. Then, those capabilities disappeared.
follow up Valhalla‘s update mid-December, which stopped the Yuletide Festival Event, each of the three skill trees in the game (Bear, Raven, Wolf) seemed to expand by two nodes. The first on each tree was a carbon copy of the “let fate lead your way” node that allows you to let the game allocate you your skill points; the second was a real potential. The Bear tree got the Fight Ready skill, which gives you a full adrenaline slot at the beginning of each fight. A Wolf Tree Arrow Looter could unlock, increasing your chance of freeing arrows from archers. Raven acquired Assassin Carry’s tree, an ability that allows players to automatically pick up a dead body after a murder. These three new layers extend directly from the center of the Valhallaskill tree, so you didn’t have to pour dozens of points into each branch to clear and unravel a path.
The catch is that all three of these capabilities don’t always show up Valhallaskill tree.
None of the three capabilities were mentioned the patch notes for the December update. Some players they saw them appear for a while, before going through play sessions afterwards. Today, at least on Xbox Series X, I still see the “fate” nodes branded, ineffective, out of the middle Valhallaskill tree, while all three new abilities are wrongplay.

I can get them to reappear by disconnecting my console from the internet and restarting my game, at which point I am greeted by the news that the Yule Festival has arrived to the end. Connecting my console to the internet will recharge them. Some players say they lost any skill points after that. Mine, for what it was worth, was repaid. When I go back online, the refunded skill points are automatically added to any of the new abilities I unlocked.
Basically, if your console is connected to the internet, you cannot access those capabilities. If it is disconnected, you can.
When asked about the issue, Ubisoft acknowledged that some players will be able to access these skills but said that they are not “ready for release yet,” and suggested that players play online. , if possible, to “prevent any play-by-play issues.”
Truth be told, you don’t lose much. None of the abilities change games significantly (though Assassin Carry admits it’s a great upgrade to quality of life). But they are proposing great things in the future Valhallathe skill net is already there. Why include a “fate” node for just one capability? Why will these new capabilities emerge after the open end of the Yuletide Festival?
Yuletide Festival kicks off on January 7. Ubisoft hasn’t announced specific dates for ValhallaBoth extensions are mentioned, Wrath of the Magi and Siege of Paris, or outline any new abilities that may enter the game along with these missions.
