Arsenal icon Wright ‘f * cking upset’ at Ozil saga & feels the player should definitely play

The former Gunners striker is still worried about why the World Cup winner on a lucrative contract has been frozen out of Mikel Arteta’s plans.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright admits that Mesut Ozil’s saga was left “f * cking confused” to be played outdoors in north London, with the Gunners still believing that the World Cup winner should to be a prominent part of Mikel Arteta’s plans.

The man shouting the scenes at the Emirates Stadium has been craving a different approach this season, with a 32-year-old player tied for a winning contract looked full.

Ozil has not been involved with Arsenal since March 2020, with his time in English football coming to an end one way or another.

A move to Fenerbahce is being discussed through the current transfer window, while a free agency will be beaten in the summer if a contract is not agreed at this stage.

Wright is disappointed to see a proven player being taken out of the back door, with the iconic striker saying he should be a Premier League giant who has been struggling for consistency in 2020 -21 have found a place for expensive assets.

“It’s so sad, Mesut has to play,” a man who remains passionate about everything Arsenal have said Wrighty House Podcast.

“No matter what people say about how he plays and what happened, I’m really sorry about the people who are always talking about his money. Money we paid for it. Money that no one in the right mind is going to refuse. That was money for him and his ability at the time and what he was supposed to do for us – it was worth it for us.

“Okay, it hasn’t worked out the way it should, but Mesut is very much within his right to do what he does and it’s still a pain for me to know. to have a player of that caliber and ability and not be able to get what we need out of it. For him to act.

“We haven’t been able to do it, no matter what the manager, what they need, somewhere on the line, they have to take that forward as well. Because that ability should play, and I hope he can play. ”

While talking about Ozil’s potential, Wright has admitted that 20-year-old academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe appears to be poised to enter the German international’s shoes as Arsenal’s creative No.10.

Wright has told Game of the day: “There is [Smith Rowe’s] quality. Top drawer. He is a real player.

“He’s literally one of the only players we have in the squad who plays on the semifinals.”
