Arsenal have already been contacted by Martin Odegaard’s £ 77million transfer option

Arsenal have already made contact with Real Betis over Nabil Fekir.

That is according to new reports in Spain with Fekir moved to move on from the La Liga club after just two years in the summer.

Reports this week linked the Gunners with a move, Mikel Arteta’s men reportedly in a ‘pole position’ to land the 27-year-old.

And according to new reports from Cope out of Spain, the Gunners have contacted Betis about a possible move in the summer.

After stating that Barcelona were interested in a move, Cope revealed that the Catalan club has not made any contact with their La Liga rivals and that only the Gunners have expressed interest with representatives of player.

Fekir joined Betis in 2019 from Lyon on a £ 18million just shy contract after his deal with Liverpool fell through.

The attacking midfielder is under contract at the Benito Villamarin until 2023 and is reported to have a release clause worth up to £ 77million.

But with Martin Odegaard potentially out of reach, Fekir is being talked about as a potential alternative to the Real Madrid star.

Odegaard has made a huge impact on him since joining Arsenal on loan until the end of the season but Real Madrid are calling him back and reporting for duty ahead of next season.

Norway also have a release clause worth around £ 301million, so Arsenal have little hope of signing the midfielder unless Odegaard himself can convince him to sell his parents’ club. .
