Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who regularly surveys Apple, provides a new perspective on Apple’s plans for VR Virtual Reality Solutions, AR (Augmented Reality). And the company’s MR (Mixed Reality) MR, with expectations for the launch of virtual / mixed reality glasses in mid-2022 and augmented reality glasses during 2025.
The new information coming from Ming-Chi Ko actually confirms the latest information about Apple’s virtual reality glasses that came from The Information website, as it also provides a general time frame for the company’s next plans in the field, with augmented reality glasses expected in 2025. It even goes further and talks about a contact lens-like solution that will arrive during 2030 ~ 2040, although at this stage it is more about MDA than specific information.
According to the line, there are several different prototypes for Apple’s mixed reality glasses, with their weight ranging from about 200 to 300 grams, with the expectation of lowering the weight to the level of 100 to 200 grams if Apple can solve a number of technical problems.

The glasses are expected to come with Sony’s micro-OLED screens, and will use external cameras to provide an augmented reality-like experience. The newest and most interesting information besides the expectations for the glasses themselves comes in the form of the latest price expectation for the glasses, which stands at “only” $ 1,000, compared to the previous high price tag of $ 3,000.
