Apple TV + had a unique 2020, and 2021 is already looking strong – BGR

  • Apple TV + is only a little over a year old, but the series enjoyed a fruitful 2020 – lighting up green and discussing about 42 new shows.
  • Apple TV + is also home to movies, including new films Bill Murray and Tom Hanks that came on the service in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus outbreak plaguing the theater solution industry.
  • Here’s a look at what Apple TV + paid for in 2020 and some of the future in 2021.

I’ve been brokering a work colleague for a while now to add a new Apple TV + display to his watch list (he knows who he is). The show is Tehran, an elegant spy series out of Israel from some of the same creators behind Netflix Fauda – another espionage drama series that plows similar ground. Maybe it’s because my favorite writer passed away earlier this month (John le Carre, the father of the modern spy novel), but I recently decided to start revisiting de Tehran While I wait for new shows I’m excited to get started. This show, with a focus on a female hacker who goes behind enemy lines in the Iranian capital to carry out a daring mission, is just as fun to watch for the second time, and gave it makes me think.

Apple’s streaming TV service is almost a year old now, and it’s actually pretty amazing what it’s been able to pull off in such a short time. The only major problem, if you ask me, is that there isn’t enough content to watch – but the content is, by and large, pretty solid. A couple of things to miss, for sure, but not only did Apple come out of the gate strongly in Year One – even in its first year, the service is streaming has also seen some of his shows break into the popular consciousness and get a wider public talk about them. I’ve found a ton of people on Twitter, for example, who got quality from Tehran, and many others have no doubt heard or even heard about what feels like the most popular Apple TV + title to date. That would be led by Jason Sudeikis Ted Lasso.

In total, this is what Apple TV + got in 2020. The climber received a total of 42 new shows, including five new comedies, five documentaries, four feature films, 12 non-fiction series, 11 family performances, and five drama series. New content that came out on the climb this year also included Mariah Carey’s Christmas special; Bruce Springsteen’s documentary, Letter to you; the WW Han drama directed by Tom Hanks Greyhound; and On the rocks, Sofia Coppola ‘s new film director who stars Bill Murray.

Coming up right, in January, there are seasons of new and existing shows, e.g. Dickinson as well Losing Alice. The final series, according to Apple, is a new show that follows “Alice (played by Ayelet Zurer), a 48-year-old female film director, who feels unworthy of raising her family. . After a brief encounter on the train, she is pregnant with 24-year-old femme fatale screenwriter Sophie (played by Lihi Kornowski), and finally surrenders her moral integrity to achieve power, relevance and success. . ”

Apple TV + is another very solid display I’m looking forward to the second season of Two sons of man that comes in February. This show, from creator Ronald D. Moore, offers another history of the space race, with the US in this universe hitting the moon with the Russians.

At times, seemingly unrestricted content available on a service like Netflix overwhelms me, so I definitely appreciate a more curious climber like Apple TV +. Plus, I’m pretty sure I’ll be looking at even more of its content in 2021. For now, though, check out some of our previous coverage about service Apple streaming and content below:
