Apple throws iPhone 12 stability at ‘Cook’ advert

Apple on Friday shared a new iPhone 12 ad to its official YouTube channel, highlighting the durability of the flagship handset while consuming a slew of eggs, vegetables, flour and more in a wild cooking session.

Aptly titled “Cook,” the trade-in focuses on the iPhone 12’s ability to withstand the elements – in this case a flash of food.

“More spill and splash resistance than ever. Ceramic shield, harder than any smartphone glass. Relax, it’s an iPhone.”

Set to “Sauce” by Naïka, the advert follows an iPhone user as he makes (messy) food in the kitchen. Used as a digital recipe book, with video classes, the iPhone is lowered, shaken, covered in flour, splattered with batter and beaten with a pepper mill.

The ad ends with the man washing the handset under a faucet.

Apple has released a steady stream of ads highlighting several iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro features such as high-end cameras, Dolby Vision, privacy and more. The company’s “Shot on iPhone” campaign is also going strong and continues to extract compelling images from iPhone owners around the world.
