Apple has launched a new tool that allows iCloud users to easily and conveniently transfer the photos and videos they store in the company’s iCloud Photos service to Google’s competing Google Photos service. The new solution allows users to quickly and easily switch between the various media storage services, in a transfer process that takes about 3 to 7 days.

Apple’s new image transfer tool comes as part of the DTP (Data Transfer Project) project, created in a relatively rare collaboration between Facebook, Apple, Google, Microsoft and Twitter, and is designed to allow simple, secure and fast information transfer between the various services of the project partners. Apple’s new tool actually joins a similar Facebook photo transfer tool that was launched in late 2019 and became available in Israel during 2020.
