Apple Launches Podcast Companion ‘For All Mankind’

Apple today announced the launch of “For All Mankind: The Official Podcast,” a podcast that looks at the popular Apple TV + series “For All Mankind” as the second season begins on February 19th.

Hosted by Krys Marshall, who plays Commander Danielle Poole, the podcast will feature space experts, astronauts, and creators and creators of “For All Mankind.”

In For All Mankind: The Official Podcast, the space race continues. Fans of the series and its subjects will hear host Krys Marshall (Commander Danielle Poole) talk about what’s really going on outside of our senses with guests from the series, space experts, and ancient astronauts – as well as audio that no one has ever heard before showing how astronauts perform the impossible.

The podcast is expected to launch on February 19, the same date as the second season of the shows. It will be available to listen to on Apple Podcasts.

Bloomberg said last year that Apple was making inroads into original podcast content to better compete with Spotify and other companies that have invested heavily in podcasts. Apple plans to focus on audio spinoffs of movies and TV shows available on ‌Apple TV + ‌, and this is the first podcast to come as part of that effort.

Apple last week also released “For All Mankind: Time Capsule,” an enhanced reality app that allows viewers to unpack a virtual time capsule, explore what’s inside and learn about season 2 of the display.
