Apple Glass’ s new patent states that it is an accessory, not a product in itself

Some new details have surfaced on the web about Apple’s upcoming eye-catching device, thanks to a new patent filed a few days ago. Titled ‘User-tracking Electronic Device User’, the patent now only showcases the device but also names it as a utility for an iPhone instead of a stand-alone device.

From its appearance, the product seems to be augmented reality like a standard pair of eyeglasses without any major device rooted on the side or on the frames. However, this is just a picture and the end result, just in case it ever sees the light of day, could be in a different way. It will also be difficult for the company to comb all the technology along with a battery in such a format. Nonetheless, it shows what Apple expects to achieve with it eventually.

The patent states that there may be several visual sensors inside the device. It can transmit light waves at different frequencies to detect, “different head movements, including, but not limited to, chewing, squeezing, waking, smiling, lifting eyes, jaw movement (e.g. , jaw protrusion, jaw retrusion, lateral jaw tour, lathe lowering, jaw elevation, etc.), mouth opening, and / or the like. ”

According to the rumors, Apple’s AR glass, formerly branded as Apple Glass, could launch sometime in 2021. But considering the patents are still being filed around the tech, it may take a little extra time for the manufacturer to bring this iPhone into the hands of end users. The company is also expected to launch a much worse VR headset.
