Apple AirPods 3 Similar to launch in Q3 2021: Ming-Chi Kuo

Apple AirPods 3, which is believed to be the next true wireless stereo headphones (TWS), is unlikely to launch until Q3 2021, according to a new report by renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The report focuses on Apple’s audio schedule and predicts where the series will go in the coming year, including a timeline that is expected to go at at the same time as the next generation iPhone models. This also significantly reduces the company’s ability to launch new audio products at the upcoming Spring Event for 2021 which could take place on March 23rd.

Kuo ‘s report comes through 9to5Mac and says that mass production of the AirPods 3 will not start in Q3 of this year. This is because the product is not yet ready for mass production and may still be in development. Additionally, with Apple not recently launching AirPods Max (Review), it’s possible that Apple will take its time with its next audio product.

Apple had previously planned to launch a new audio product at its Spring Event for 2021 scheduled for March 23, but this new report suggests that the event will cover other product areas. This could include new iPad models, AirTags, and the long-awaited update for the Apple TV streaming device.

Kuo’s report goes further into load detail and analysis of more competition for Apple in the audio sector. He suggests that the company will see a decline in shipments from 90 million in 2020 to 78 million in 2021 for the AirPods range, and the second-generation Apple AirPods could remain on sale even after the new version is released. launched.

Apple AirPods Max, the company’s most expensive audio product yet, has not seen much demand – as would be expected for a product in their price range and with the strong competition in that segment from brands such as Bose and Sony. Kuo estimates that a total of one million units of the AirPods Max will be shipped out in the entire year, making up a very small percentage of the total sales of AirPods products.
