Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will consider releasing the overweight titles in their world to make a mega fight next year, according to Eddie Hearn.
Promoter Joshua Hearn revealed earlier in the week that there are only ‘a few minor issues that need to be ironed out’ before they can end the overweight fight after positive talks. kept by Bob Arum.
One of the main obstacles will force the regulatory bodies to set aside mandatory defenses to allow Joshua and Fury to fight for the crown without a doubt. Joshua currently holds WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF world titles while Fury is a WBC champion.

WBO president Paco Valcarcel has already said that Joshua would have to fight against Oleksandr Usyk with a level 1 weight loss before Fury or leave the title after defeating Kubrat Pulev.
Both camps want the belts to be on the line for a chance to be the undisputed first overweight champion since Lennox Lewis in the early 2000s, but Hearn admitted that making the fight the priority and happen with or without world titles.
‘We have a fight with our hands, and sorry for the governing bodies, which are climbing all the belts,’ Hearn said.
We have to be a little cautious because you may be close to saying: “Let’s get rid of politics right now. Let’s drop all the belts because if we lose one belt, we might lose them all.”
‘You have the biggest fight in boxing in the world, You pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to each governing body. Now you have another one (Usyk) that seems to want to set aside seven figures.
‘We have to be careful because ultimately the goal of this fight was to be for the tree without a doubt.

‘We’ll do what we can to make sure all the boxing belts are on the line in a Tyson Fury fight.
‘The thing is that we will not be kept crushed and that we will not allow politics to engage in a fight that requires boxing.’
Fury co-promoter Frank Warren raised hopes of a deal by saying this week that ‘egos’ were the only thing that would stop the fight.
Hearn, the leader of the game, said: ‘We are just trying to resolve any remaining issues of the fight, where there are not many of them, to be honest with you.
We are trying to move forward together to tell the governing bodies that we intend to launch this fight probably in May and we would like this to be for too heavy a competition no doubt the -world.
‘There are a few things to resolve but I think we can start looking at drawing up contracts and trying to move this.’
