Anthony Edwards said he is very good at all sports

One thing that has always seemed like NBA players really need to get into the league is a little careless confidence. After all, they are playing against the best basketball players in the world.

One thing about Timberwolves rookie Anthony Edwards is that he is not scarce in that area – as he is.

Edwards sat down for an interview with Timberwolves sideline reporter Marney Gellner and started talking about how good he was at high school baseball. Apparently he was a clean-up catcher for his team.

That conversation eventually turned into another sport. Gellner asked what else Edwards was good at and his answer was, well, everything.

It was very funny. The funniest part is that I’m 80% sure it’s dead heavy.

Gellner: Sounds like you’re just an athlete. Ping pong, basketball, football, basketball.

Edwards: Tennis, swimming, Lacrosse. Whatever you need me to play I’m going to do. If it’s a little money on the line, I’m going to do it.

Gellner: Can you golf?

Edwards: Whatever you need me to do.

Gellner: Okay, hockey?

Edwards: Whatever. On the rink. Whatever you need me to do. Does not matter. Trash ball. Whatever you need me to do. Cooking food, cooking food. That’s something to do. I bet I will be A1 from day 1.

Welp. Rookie of the year is decided. Give the prize to this child already.
