A third suspect in the number of the shock grenade that was placed outside the home of Maccabi Haifa midfielder Omar Atzili was arrested today (Sunday). This is a Maccabi Haifa fan in his 30s from the south of the country.
As you may recall, on Thursday the detention of Bar Gita, the second suspect, was extended for the weekend. Last Sunday, Omri Ben Lulu and Bar Gita were arrested on suspicion of extortion, possession of explosives and conspiracy to commit a crime. Police are seeking to extend their detention.

Police Spokeswoman (Ayalon): “This morning, the police arrested another suspect in connection with the incident of placing a shock grenade near a house in Holon. The other two detainees will be brought in today for a further hearing on a request to extend their detention. The police opened an investigation in Holon about three weeks ago, with complaints of harassment, extortion and finally placing a stun grenade near a residence in Holon, when the variety of offenses were committed on suspicion against one family.
“As stated, the police arrested two suspects involved about a week ago and their detention was extended from time to time, with the police intending today to request an extension of their detention once again in accordance with the findings of the investigation.”
“As the investigation progressed, the police arrested another suspect this morning – a resident of the south in his 30s and the Ayalon area investigators intend to bring him before the Magistrate’s Court in Tel Aviv with a request to extend his detention.”
