Another bronze medal for Israel in Qatar

tasteful. The Israeli judo team tonight (Wednesday) finished its way in the prestigious Masters competition which takes place in Doha, Qatar with a third consecutive medal which is also the second bronze medal in the world competition.

After the team won a silver medal on the first day of the tournament when Baruch Shmailov did so, the Israeli team continued its achievements last night with a bronze medal won by Sagi Muki and today ends its journey with a third medal and a second consecutive bronze medal won by Peter Plachik.

Placzyk, who competes in the up to 100 kg category, won the bronze medal after defeating Portuguese judoka Georges Ponska in the consolation house.

Placzyk, who won the European Championship less than a year ago, started his day in the tournament today in a good way when he won both the second round and the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, Placic lost to Georgian Varlem Lipartliani, silver medalist Mario 2016 and European champion three times in the past, and fell to the House of Consolation.

In the decisive battle at the House of Consolation, Placic took advantage of mistakes by his Portuguese opponent to win the bronze medal.

The Israeli team finishes its way in the prestigious competition in Qatar, where it competed equally between equals with good taste and three prestigious medals.
