Former actor Anil Kapoor, in a new video, recalls shooting a crucial scene in Zoya Akhtar’s 2015 drama Dil Dhadakne Do, where he was virtually “choking” Rahul Bose. Production house Zoya Akhtar Tiger Baby Films will run the YouTube Off the Record series where artists will talk about their experiences of filming special series from the films made under the banner.
The latest video featured Anil Kapoor, who walked down the memory series and spoke candidly about making the “favorite” scene from Dil Dhadakne Do. The show will also feature Rahul Bose, Priyanka Chopra, Shefali Shah, Ranveer Singh and Zarina Wahab. It focuses on the troubled marriage between Ayesha (Priyanka) and Manav (Rahul) and how the individual families deal with their conflict.
Anil Kapoor said he was excited about the scene from the start of the hunt as it had to be intense and fiery, but when the last day came, things got a little messy with how the actor’s emotional instincts improved for him. “I have the right to crush Rahul and I was like, ‘Now, this picture will come and I’ll put it down and talk these two lines: Tera haath ukhadke rakh dunga ‘ And then obviously, me being me, I was in the picture and in action. ”
“Suddenly, I don’t know what happened. The wire came and I almost hit Rahul and almost killed him. Everyone was like, ‘AK, what’s going on? This is a shooting. ‘And I was so worried. My reputation is at least bad and this was just an accident. I don’t know why the wire came in my hands! In fact, I became aware afterwards and thought I would not be able to make the scene. “
Despite nothing going according to his plans, said Anil Kapoor, the director got her bullet. After the actor posted this video on Twitter, Rahul Bose told him, joking, if the veteran had been “killed”, the audience would have rejoiced.
