An unusual incident in Tamra: two people killed in an exchange of fire with the police

An unusual event in the city of Tamra in the Galilee: Last night (Monday) during an operational activity, police spotted a group of suspects firing at a house. The police tried to arrest the suspects, who in response opened fire at them with automatic weapons. Following this, the police returned fire and hit the suspects.

A preliminary police investigation tonight revealed that one of the suspects was killed and the other was injured. Two civilians were also injured during the exchange of fire. One of them was killed and the other wounded. According to Arab media reports, the killed civilian is a student named Ahmed Hijazi who happened to be in the area.

Following the incident, the Tamra municipality convened an emergency meeting attended by the chairman of the joint list, Ayman Odeh. A demonstration began in the city itself and police set up checkpoints to prevent the suspects from escaping.

In addition, at least one suspect fled the scene, and police launched a manhunt for those involved in the incident. It should be noted that two mother-of-16 weapons were used in the arena, with which the shooting took place.

Earlier tonight, MDA reported that two young men had been evacuated to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. These are two young men aged 20 and 25 who were fatally and moderately injured. The hospital updated that the seriously injured had undergone surgery during the night in intensive care while anesthetized. The other wounded man is in a mild to moderate condition after undergoing surgery.

Earlier, a 30-year-old man was shot dead last night in the Fahora neighborhood of Nazareth. The man was rushed to the city hospital, but there doctors were forced to determine his death. Following the incident, police opened an investigation.
