The ‘freeze’ of Formula 1 engine development is expected to be introduced from 2022 after receiving unanimous approval at a meeting of the F1 Commission.
In a move ready to pave the way for Red Bull to take over the running of Honda engines from next year when the Japanese manufacturer leaves the sport, engine development for all manufacturers is about to take place. ‘frozen’ at the end of this year. for the rest of the sport’s conventional engine era.
