Prior to the hearing, his lawyer, Moshe Alon, said that “the suspect is in a serious mental condition, he is expressing grief.” The lawyer himself shares the grief of the families and said that everything that the suspect has to say and beyond – he will say at the hearing.

As you may recall, on Friday afternoon, the patrol officer from the Modi’in police shot his wife Diana, at their home in the village of Na’ala. All this while their four children were at home and witnessing the incident. The husband was arrested on the spot and the investigation of the incident was transferred to the care of the Police Investigations Department (DIP) in the State Attorney’s Office. He is also expected to appear in court, where they will ask to extend his detention.

The first details of the investigation revealed that immediately after the incident, the husband made telephone contact with his commander, and told him: “I shot my wife, I killed her.” According to his lawyer, he even claimed that he did not know what caused him to do so, noting that there was a random argument between him and his wife before the shooting.
