AMD’s technology for improving performance in computer games reaches the Ryzen 3000 processors

As part of the online launch event Where Gaming Begins Ep. 3 In which AMD announced the Radeon RX 6700 XT card, its latest addition to the Radeon RX 6000 card series, the company announced the expansion of support for the technologySmart Access Memory (Hereinafter SAM) also in the previous generation Ryzen 3000 processors.

AMD’s SAM technology was originally introduced along with the company’s Radeon RX 6000 card series, a technology designed to provide the processor with the ability to access all the graphics memory on the video card and thereby improve performance in computer games. However, the technology originally had a limitation in the form of the need to use a RX 6000 series graphics card along with an AMD 500 series chipboard based board and the company’s Ryzen 5000 series processor, and now it is “opening” for Ryzen 3000 processors as well The older ones.

AMD’s SAM technology is not completely “original”, and is in fact AMD’s implementation of the PCI-SIG organization’s Resizable BAR technology that exists as part of the PCIe facility itself. Anvidia also recently added support for Resizable BAR technology to the GeForce RTX 3000 card series, with wider support for Intel and AMD processors, which required AMD to change its plans and offer technology support to the previous generation of processors as well.
