But the Clueless star, 44, recently revealed that her son is an ‘example of health’ who has never needed ‘medical intervention’ in his nine years.

‘This is a plant-based baby. Never need antibiotics in nine years and never need any medical intervention … ‘Silverstone said in an interview with ET.

She continued: ‘Most children have so many ear infections, they are taking medication all the time.’

Although Bear never needed antibiotics, Alicia clarified that she is not saying [she] he wouldn’t give it to him ‘if he needed them, but so far,’ he doesn’t need it. ‘

‘This is a child that has been [sick] twice in his life. Twice. For, like, a few hours, ‘she said.

He said, “Mommy I’m not feeling well. I’m going to bed.” All his life, twice. He gets a snot nose, but is still climbing trees. ‘

Alicia was keen for people to understand that her son is a great example of the benefits of a ‘plant-based’ diet and that it is not a diet with essential nutrients.

”[Bear] just as healthy. I just want to share that with the world. So people see that a plant – based baby is very healthy … It ‘s not as if they’re just doing it right. They can do better, ‘the actress explained to Deidre Behar at ET.

Alicia welcomed her only child in May 2011 with her husband and musician Christopher Jarecki, 44.

The former couple, who have had a relationship spanning over 20 years, were married from 2005 until their divorce in 2018.

In particular, the Crush actress revealed that Bear made her hair famous long ago, but she thinks he will grow it again after his trim.

‘We went home together, got to bed, and we both looked at each other as if something had happened. He was like a new man, ‘she remembered.

‘He’ s so good and he looks okay … His hair is growing back in and he’s really cute. The hair will be back to his heels soon, I am sure, in no time. ‘

Bear seems to be following in his mother’s footsteps, as he’s ready to make a short scene in his mother’s new film, Sister of the Groom.

Alicia also revealed that Bear will be appearing in the second series of her Netflix series The Baby-Sitters Club because she wanted to make sure he was able to go work with her.

‘Because of COVID’s rules he can’t come if he’s not there, so they put him in … He plays the youngest child’s best friend,’ she explained.

All I wanted to do was take my baby to work. We need to support working mothers, too … I’m not going to leave my baby for months. That just doesn’t happen. Out of the question. ‘
