Actress Alia Bhatt has consistently shot at lead director Sanjay Leela Bhansali Gangubai Kathiawadi. The film began in December 2019 but production stopped among the coronavirus pandemic last year. Towards the end of 2020, production resumed. Now, the actress is ready to record two complex dance numbers for the film.
According to reports, Alia Bhatt has completed the talkie sections of the hunt after filming for the past three months. Holding both dance numbers for the third week of February, both will be picked up to a large extent just like any of the Bansali films. She has given two weeks’ rest and will be running for the songs. One of the large-scale dance numbers with 200 back dancers is expected. It will be filmed at Film City in Mumbai where the Kamathipura set was reproduced.
Last year, Alia Bhatt fired another song but Bhansali chose to finish the crucial parts before embarking on more dance numbers.
The title Gangubai Kathiawadi, Gangubai, remembered as The Madam of Kamathipura in the pages of history, was pushed into prostitution at a young age, after which he became a highly influential pimp with several savage gangsters as his clients. The plan is to release the film during Diwali 2021.
