AJ Styles came very close to dethroning Drew McIntyre at pay-per-view TLC on Sunday.
It’s been a year of change for Styles. He has switched between RAW and SmackDown a couple of times, won the Intercontinental title and had to shut down his popular Twitch stream.

Vince McMahon made the edit at the end of October that talent wanted to stop their third-party activities and that decision ultimately cost Zelina Vega her work.
When Styles spoke only to talkSPORT this week, The Phenomenal One explained to us how he and two WWE comrades were meeting with Vince McMahon about the situation.
“I, Xavier Woods and Sasha Banks had a sit-down meeting in Connecticut with Vince about the situation and it was confirmed that he had intellectual property – this is [points to his face, smiling].

“We will do as well as WWE. If there is an opportunity to repay that money we are working hard on it at different times, maybe we should, ”explained Styles.
“I was doing this long before it was locked out and the coronavirus. I was streaming and doing my thing, so I was always doing it on my time off, it wasn’t.
“So things are happening. I wasn’t happy about it. There was no one. However, it is. I will handle it as I need to. I’m a team player, it is [Vince McMahon] the skipper. I will follow her lead regarding Vince. ”
Styles went on to say that WWE is holding meetings about how they can handle the situation and possibly change it right now, but Styles is skeptical that he will get the result he would like.

“Will it change?” They are working on something as we speak. Will I be happy with it? Probably not [laughs]. However, the opportunity for future streaming is quite open. Clearly I have the equipment [points to his impressive gaming room full of the best equipment], I don’t have the opportunity right now. “
Another part of 2020 at Styles was to be part of an immediate classic of a ladder game with Sami Zayn and Jeff Hardy back at Clash of Champions.
In a battle to find the true Intercontinental champion, Zayn would emerge after handcuffing Hardy with his earl and Styles to the ladder.
It was the end of genius and Styles says the keeper is now Jamie Noble’s backstage agent heavily reliant on the classic.
“I can’t believe it. We all put in the little ideas we had, but Jamie Noble is the main master behind that game.

“He’s the person you want to work with when you’re putting matches together. He is an expert.
“They came up with these ideas; they were funny, they were really good and I have the whole thing with ladder maids like ‘guys, try not to just do‘ spots ’. Let ‘s do what we need to do and if things work out the way they do [then we can do some spots]. Everything has been done before, so let’s try to do it differently.
“And basically, what we did, we told a story in a match that is not known to contain stories – a ladder game. Jeff Hardy was still able to put Sami Zayn through a ladder that was incredible.
“However, Sami Zayn was just slow enough to have handcuffs and not just handcuffs, but pull out a key – it was great!
“When I was tied up on the ladder I could go up and I couldn’t go down, it was a great move with Sami. Everyone hates to see and say, but yes.
“I was very happy with that game and I was really pleased that so many other fans were as happy as we were because as I said, it was a story within a game. an unheard of ladder, ”said Styles.
