Tim Cook said Wednesday that supply for Apple-like AirPods Max could continue to suffer restrictions during the first quarter of 2020.
Tim Cook announced Wednesday that the major headphones were likely to be scarce into the company’s second quarter, reports Reuters.
AirPods Max was announced in mid-December and is Apple’s flagship luxury headset. They sell for $ 550 and are available in five colors, including Silver, Space Gray, Sky Blue, Red, and Green. They feature Apple’s H1 chip, which gives them a hundred-foot range, allowing users to move around freely while on them. They also feature a Digital Crown, allowing users to easily pause, play, and jump through playlists, as well as call Siri.
Hours into product launch, buyers saw shipping dates heading into 2021 as demand was high above supply. The device’s configuration is still sold out through the front of Apple’s online store and third-party resellers.
For now, those interested may be able to order a pair from Amazon, where they are currently available in Space Gray and Silver.
AppleInsider they recently reviewed the AirPods Max, noting that while they looked very good, the $ 550 price tag was not at all in line with our expectations.
