Aguero, 32, recently returned to the squad after a year of injuries that prevented just 13 appearances in the past 12 months.
The Argentine is a bona fide City legend, having achieved the most famous Premier League goal and ending our 44-year wait for a league title, before progressing to become the goalkeeper biggest ever.
And Club captain Fernandinho has been used more strenuously this term, making 22 appearances across all competitions, but his side effects have been remarkable when he has played.
Both players are out of contract in the summer, but with City fighting on four sides, Guardiola says his focus must be on making sure we get secure cash goods, meaning that there are conversations about who will stay and who will go on ice.
“We’re going to talk to him [Aguero] as a man, as a man and, of course, as a player, “he said.
“We need to see what happens at the end of the season. We can’t forget how long he was out.
“Now it’s started to get better. I know it takes minutes to get to the best position but now we may not be able to take minutes for minutes.
“I think the Club have spoken to his agent and they know the situation. We will talk at the end of the season – the same situation with Fernandinho.

“Now comes the best two or three months.
“We come to a decision not only. Players may leave out of a contract. We may get a loan. Academy players may come up. We may buy some players, not i don’t know what level.
“We will make a decision at the end of the season.
“Now, honestly, I could tell you an answer that is a lie, but I don’t know what’s going to happen. In my mind, right now, the next season is far away , as is the project for next season.
“We’ve done a lot of work to be in this position. I don’t want to be drawn. If I’m drawn, the players feel like I’m being distracted.
“I have to aim for the next game, and then after Fulham, then Champions League, Goodison Park.
“In the international break, I probably have more time and I can think about it. ”

At the same time, Guardiola says he prefers pressure to steer, rather than coming from behind.

“And this will not be an exception. If we don’t win the Premier League, it’s up to us. It’s because we weren’t good enough to do it.
“We lost to United because we weren’t good enough. Making mistakes we can only, in our last box and third. There’s nothing more than that.
“If we are 11 points ahead with three games left, in that moment I will say ‘we are the champions’.
“Until then, no chance.”
