After the Michelin star: Assaf Granit’s next big step

After receiving the Michelin star for his restaurant “Broken”, Assaf Granit does not stop and is already looking forward. The “Israel Canada Hotels” group has signed a strategic partnership to establish a chef restaurant and responsibility for all the culinary at the Gali Kinneret Hotel, with the chefs of the “Mahniuda” group, Assaf Granit and Uri Navon.
The hotel, which is undergoing a massive renovation and will open in May 2021, has a private beach and luxury history. Israel Canada Hotels, led by Reuven Alex, began more than a year ago with a massive and thorough renovation of the hotel with an investment of about NIS 32 million in order to turn it into a luxury hotel together with award-winning hotel architect Saar Tzafrir.

Chefs Granit and Navon and the Mahniuda group will be responsible for a chef restaurant that will be available to hotel guests as well as pre-booking for outside guests, an evening bar and the pool restaurant. In addition, the renovation includes, in addition to the construction of the restaurants, the reconstruction of the rooms, which include garden rooms, suites and public spaces, including a spa, a treatment center and a thermo-mineral pool.

This is the first collaboration of many kinds together with the Mahniuda group. “

In addition to the future plan at the Gali Kinneret Hotel, Assaf Granit has 6 restaurants in Jerusalem, 3 restaurants in London and 2 restaurants in Paris. “The collaboration with ‘Israel Canada Hotels’ is exciting and the restaurants at Gali Kinneret Hotel” will complete a hospitality experience that has never been seen before in Israel and will include tasting of its restaurants around the world combined with uncompromising local food, “said Assaf Granit.

Israel Canada acquired the Tamers hotel chain this year and this year completed a nationwide deployment of 1350 rooms from the Gonen holiday village in the north, Gali Kinneret Hotel, Lakehouse, Play Tel Aviv, West Tel Aviv, West Ashdod, the Daniel Dead Sea Hotel and the Soleil Hotel in Eilat.
