AEW Dark: Raising Results – A star leaves half way through a game, Big debate, Three main events

Paul Wight and Tony Schiavone welcomed fans to the second episode of AEW Dark Elevation. A three-fold main event card came to an end this week’s edition and featured ten games in total.

Justin Roberts did the pre-game introduction as we went to the first game of the AEW Dark: Elevation show.

Tay Conti (w / -1) vs. Ray Lynn on AEW Dark Rise

Ray Lynn Conti shook to start the AEW Dark: Elevation game. Lynn broke Tay’s arm control series with a hair pull. However, Conti used her Judo background to kill a few takedowns.

Lynn fired back with a dropkick, and won one account. Lynn and Conti exchanged a fist before hitting each other in the middle of the ring. Aubrey Edwards started on the 10th count, and Conti connected with the first of many forearm shimmers.

Lynn and Conti traded big pictures. They rejected Full Nelsons, and Tay executed a cutter and then a breaker around the world. Conti hit Lynn with a penalty kick from the apron.

Ray hit face-first into the steel ring post, and Conti got the action back into the ring. Conti missed a move with a high rope but caught Lynn with a slow pump kick. She tied up with a running knee strike, and then her Hammerlock DDT finisher. “The DDTay” or “TayKO”? What feels better?

Result: Tay Conti def. Ray Lynn on the AEW Dark Rise

Level: B.

Lee Johnson (w / Dustin Rhodes) vs. Adam Priest on AEW Dark: Height

Lee Johnson and Adam Priest started the game with a collar and elbow. The energetic keepers put together a slippery set of early catches in a competition.

Lee held headlock control for a few seconds, but Priest didn’t slouch on the mat while trying to put Big Shotty out. The series ended non-stop.

The priest did not favorably accept Johnson’s handshake offer, and the game took a chance on heat. Priest began to connect with his strikes and took over the proceedings, earning one count with a snap suplex.

Dustin Rhodes persuaded Johnson to focus on his return, but Priest expertly caught him in custody and executed a modified neck-brace.

Johnson turned his back on an Irish whip and tied it with a foam in the corner. Adam Priest responded with an enziguri and then a quick belly-to-back suplex for a two-count.

The crowd sang for Johnson as Priest looked for another German suplex. Johnson stopped and hit a jumping neck out of this position. He started back with two larias. Adam Priest was then sent off, and Johnson continued with a top.

Adam Priest was brought back into the ring, and the buckle bomb turned to fall.

Johnson eventually made a connection to the Buckle Bomb, and then his finisher, ‘The Brain Dog,’ also known as the Ushigoroshi – a modified shoulder-breaking machine / firefighter slam.

Result: Lee Johnson def. Adam’s Priest on AEW Dark: Ascension
