Abrau from the days in Betar (Guy Ben Ziv)

Sebastian Abreu, an ex-Betar Jerusalem who never stops wandering, did it again – and increases the record even further. The 44-year-old Uruguayan striker is moving to the 31st goal of his career, just about a month after joining Athletic Minash Jarish from Brazil. The player has already broken the Guinness record with a club 30 in his career, but has now improved it even further.

Between his travels around the globe, Abrau played for a short time in Betar Jerusalem in 2008. The veteran striker, who also made 70 appearances for the Uruguayan national team, continues to sign contracts even at the age of 44 and after reaching an agreement with the Brazilian team to leave after four games (in which he did not score) – he returns to his homeland and signs for his 31st career.

Abrau has 783 games throughout his career and he has scored 404 goals. Among his wanderings he has of course played in Israel, as well as in Uruguay, Argentina, Spain, Mexico, Greece, Ecuador, Paraguay, El Salvador, Chile and Brazil.
