A pilot who crashed in the Amazon – miraculously survived 36 days, you will not believe how

A Brazilian pilot named Antonio Sneh made headlines this week after his plane crashed in the Amazon, and he miraculously survived the crash.

In an interview with him, Sneh said that the takeoff from Lankar, Brazil was on February 28, while the crash was on the banks of the Amazon River. “I noticed that there was a problem with the plane’s engine, and I had to make an emergency landing in the forest,” recalls 36-year-old Sneh.

For more than a month, Senna had to survive on wild fruits and bird eggs he found in the forest, and although he was eventually rescued – but when he was found and rushed to the hospital, the medical report showed that his body lacked essential vitamins, his hair fell out and his weight dropped dramatically.

It is amazing to note that the person who rescued him is a small group of chestnut pickers, who roamed the area.

“I thought I was going to end my life in this huge forest,” he says. “They found me weak, tired and hopeless. It’s just unbelievable that just before the end I saw in my mind’s eye, this group came and rescued me.” Sneh evacuated to the hospital using a helicopter carrying paramedics, and when he reunited with his family, he said in tears that “the only thing that kept me in the woods and helped me stay alive is my love for my family, and my desire to see my brothers and sisters again.”
