A motorcyclist slipped on the road – and was killed in Tel Aviv

Serious accident near the Shalom Interchange in Tel Aviv: A 19-year-old motorcyclist slipped on the road and was killed. MDA medics and paramedics who were called to treat him found him at the scene of the accident, on Route 20 heading north, with no signs of life – and were forced to determine his death.

“The wounded man was lying on the road tens of meters from the motorcycle, unconscious, with no pulse and no breathing,” said MDA paramedic Naama Kremnian and MDA paramedic Shimon Pinchas. “We performed medical tests to give him medical treatment but he was without signs of life and we have no choice but to determine his death on the spot.”

About a week ago, a 20-year-old man was killed in Haifa after colliding with a motorcycle at a bus stop on Jaffa Road in the city. The incident took place around 03:11, when the MDA hotline received a report of the accident. The MDA team that arrived at the scene evacuated the motorcyclist to Rambam Hospital in Haifa in a critical condition, during resuscitation operations, but the medical center determined his death.

“When we arrived at the scene, we saw that it was a serious accident,” said MDA paramedic Ari Yules and senior MDA medic Oded Golan. “The glass of the bus stop was shattered and there was a crushed motorcycle nearby. About ten meters away, on the curb, a 20-year-old man was lying unconscious. He suffered a severe multi-system injury and was out of breath and without a pulse. Intensive care – and we evacuated him urgently during resuscitation operations to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. “
