A 48-year-old man was seriously injured and a 54-year-old woman was moderately injured in the night shooting incident (Saturday) in Yarka. The shooting took place at the family’s residence, and during the incident a grenade was also thrown, which did not explode.
MDA medics and paramedics provided first aid to the wounded and evacuated them to the hospital. Large police forces were called to the scene and opened an investigation. Several suspects involved in the act were detained for questioning, but their involvement has not yet been determined. Police say the background is a family dispute.

Meanwhile, large police forces were called last night to a brawl that broke out in the city of Sakhnin. At around 3:00, police forces arrived at the scene, where dozens of people were involved in a riot that erupted due to a conflict between two families at the scene.
During the brawl, stones and other objects were thrown at those involved and the police. One policeman was hit in the head by a stone thrown at him and the police vehicle was damaged.
Five suspects were arrested for involvement in a brawl and assaulting police officers. On Saturday night, the suspects will be brought in for a hearing to extend their detention. The investigation will continue and further arrests are expected.
