A hard blow to the Brooklyn Nets. Guard Spencer Dinwiddie, who was injured early in the morning (Sunday through Monday) in a loss to Charlotte, is unlikely to return to play this season.
According to a report by Shams Charania from Athletic, the 27-year-old guard is suffering from a partial tear in the ligaments in his right knee, and he is expected to recover only before next season. These are very bad news for the Nets, who are losing a five-man player developed alongside stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.
The injury occurred during the 106: 104 loss to the Charlotte Hornets, in which Dinwidi was injured in the third quarter and could not continue to play. So far this season he has averaged 6.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3 assists per game.
