A 45-year-old cyclist was killed today (Friday) while riding near the Timna mines. MDA medics and paramedics provided him with primary care and performed resuscitation, which ultimately determined his death. According to medical sources, the man suffered a head injury.
A MDA paramedic who was present at the event, Aviran Ashkenazi, said: “We immediately started advanced medical treatment, which included souls, massages and medication, but his injury was severe and in the end we had to determine his death.”
Earlier, a 57-year-old cyclist who was hit by a vehicle on Route 60, near the Shoket junction, was seriously injured. MDA medics and paramedics treated him and evacuated him to Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva, where he was suffering from a head injury.
Meanwhile, a 50-year-old cyclist was moderately injured in a car accident in Ramat Gan. The MDA team provided him with primary medical care and evacuated him to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv with a head injury.
