Barcelona is currently opening its second round of the Spanish league, when it faces Elche away with the aim of putting together a fourth consecutive league victory for the first time in almost a year, and narrowing the gap from the top. The expelled Leo Messi was not included in the male squad for the red card he received in the Super Cup final. The Catalans have not played at Camp Nou yet in 2021, and are in the midst of a long series of away games in the various settings, with the league being the fourth away game in a row. Koeman’s team is obviously tired, but will have to overcome it to overcome the humble opponent who is desperate for points.
