9 points to Abdia, Washington lost 125: 119 to Milwaukee

Some will give the credit to Washington for an impressive fighting game, and some will look at the Eastern table and say that the team from the capital is in trouble. Without Bradley Bill and Davis Bartans, the Wizards hosted Milwaukee tonight (Saturday through Sunday) and lost by a whopping 125: 119. Danny Abdia started with a five, played 35 minutes and scored 9 points (4 of 10 from the field, 1 of 6 from three), 4 rebounds, assists, steals and a block on Chris Middleton.

In the absence of Bill who suffered from knee pain, Scott Brooks needed to be raised by Russell Westbrook and Roy Hachimura, and he could not have asked for more. Westbrook exploded with 42 points on 50 percent from the field alongside 10 rebounds and 12 assists, and Hachimura recorded his best game of the season with 29 points and 11 rebounds. The Japanese was far from the point of his career high, when he finished the decisive quarter with 0 points.

Abdia and Westbrook hit two clutch threes in the final 70 seconds that set 119: 119, but in the final half minute the attempt was overwhelming. The rookie committed two fouls on Middleton (the second with no choice) that sent the star to close the story from the penalty line. While Middleton finished the game with 16 points on 25 percent from the field, the Bucks star as every night was Yannis Antecompo, who recorded a triple-double of 33 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.
