Israeli rookie Danny Abdia is on the bench again, playing for the second time in a row, and this time it was not successful in terms of the Wizards who lost to the Raptors. Abdia got 27 minutes from coach Scott Brooks, scoring 9 points with 3 of 7 from the field (2 of 6 off the arc), adding 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Davis Bartens, who continued to open in his place, also scored 9 points in 28 minutes on the floor and contributed 4 rebounds and 0 assists so it is not clear whether the change Brooks made is really substantial. An excellent game between the Mavericks and the Hawks included an impressive Dallas comeback in the fourth quarter with the help of Luca Doncic’s triple double with 28 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds. The Slovenian led the team to victory with Jaylen Bronson scoring 21 from the bench, Tim Hardway Jr. adding 16 and Kristpas Forzingis just 15 in his not-so-good game in which he was also injured. The Hawks were led by John Collins with 33 points, Trey Young scored 25 and handed out 15 assists.
Brooklyn (12:15) – Indiana (13:12) 94: 104
Still without Kevin Durant but this time the Nets won. Kyrie Irving with 35 points and eight assists led the team, James Harden contributed 19 and 11 rebounds and Joe Harris added 17 to take Brooklyn to victory over the Pacers. Demontas Savonis led on the other side with 18 points and 9 rebounds.
Denver (11:13) – Cleveland (16:10) 95: 133
The Nuggets dismantled the Cubs with 22 points from Paul Millsap who led the winners. Michael Porter Jr. added 19 points and Nikola Jukic settled for 12 and 12 assists. Jarrett Allen led Cleveland on the other side with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Minnesota (19: 6) – Clippers (8:18) 119: 112
Kwai Leonard with 36 points led the Clippers to their 18th win of the season. Lou Williams contributed 27 points from the bench and helped the team deal with Paul George’s shortcoming. Reggie Jackson who went up in the top five added 15 points and the team from Los Angeles continues to look good. Carl Anthony Towns came back on the other side and scored 18 points, Malik Beasley added 21 and Naz Reed 23.
Memphis (10:10) – Charlotte (14:12) 114: 130: Kyle Anderson led the Grizzlies with 27 points.
Chicago (14:10) – New Orleans (13:11) 116: 129: The Bulls won thanks to 46 points from Zack Lavine and 30 from Kobe White.
