8 Hyun Bin Dramas and Movies to watch in 2021

With Hallyu’s most popular role of royalty Hyun Bin to date with Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok in Netflix’s big show Crash lands on you, one thing is very interesting with the characters he has made over the years. And why not? As well as being one of the highest paid Korean actors of his generation, there is a wide range of talent ranging from rom-com to fantasy, action and much more. While we are still waiting for the release of his upcoming films Bargaining and Privacy Specification 2: International, we summarize some of his shows that you can watch, or recap.

Do you know how Hyun Bin ‘s real life romance was with Korea’ s first global ambassador, Fendi Song Hye-kyo (Descendants of the sun; Full House) started? check out Inner world (also known as The world in which they live), a 2008 television series focusing on the personal and professional lives of those working in a fast-paced and challenging world of broadcasting. The reality show of Joo Joon-young (Song Hye-kyo) and Jung Ji-oh (Hyun Bin) – the two TV directors in the series – will keep you glued to your seats and their unique chemistry on and off. outside cam definitely makes you swoon.

Hyun Bin is one of the few Korean actors who can speak English (and yes, sing in) fluently. In this 2010 English language film directed by Kim Tae-yong, the 47th award-winning Baeksang Art Actor Tang Wei plays Anna, a prisoner who receives a 72-hour parole for a family visit in Seattle, and who meets and befriends South Korean Runner named Hoon (Hyun Bin). Co-produced between South Korea, Hong Kong, China and the United States, this is the fourth remake of the 1966 Lee Man-hee melodrama classic of the same title.

The film premiered at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival. It was also screened at the 15th Busan International Film Festival, the 61st Berlin International Film Festival, and the Friborg International Film Festival. It also became the highest-rated Korean film released in China to date, with more than 910,000 entries after its March release, with a full box office takeover of more at US $ 9.5 million.

This 2010 fantasy rom-com series features Hyun Bin le An Empress Ki Ha Ji-won female lead star and has won several awards at both the 2010 SBS Drama Awards and the 47th Baeksang Arts Awards, including the Grand Prize (considered the highest honor in the television category Baeksang) for Hyun Bin.

The Cinderella-like 20-episode story follows the lives of Gil Ra-im (Ha Ji-won), a stuntwoman, and Kim Joo-won (Hyun Bin), Head of a top department store, both from two opposite worlds, who went against all things to fight for their love. The story becomes even more complicated as Gil Ra-im and Kim Joo magically start turning corpses.

Bonus: another famous South Korean actor, Lee Jong-suk, who got out of military service and was recently seen consolidating Prada’s luxury brand, the supporting character of Han Tae-sun, a musician young genius.

Directed by Kim Sung-hoon, this 2017 South Korean action film revolves around Im Cheol-ryung (Hyun Bin), an officer of a special exploration team in North Korea. His team goes into trouble at a warehouse that prints counterfeit money. His master Cha Ki-seong (Kim Joo-hyuk) and his own team are there to steal the main plates to print the counterfeit money. A bullet occurs and, in the process, Im Cheol-ryung is killed and others are killed. Sequence with title Privacy Specification 2: International was announced on August 24, 2020. Filming for this much-anticipated sequel began in February this year.

Based on Lee Choong-ho’s website Dr. Jekyll is Mr. Hyde, this 2015 20-episode television series brought a rom-com version to the popular literary character. Hyun Bin has two characters: Gu Seo-jin, a third-generation chaebol who runs the Wonder Land theme park who seems to have everything from brilliant looks to ingenuity and fortune; and Robin, a kind-hearted version of himself that appears whenever his heart rate exceeds 150. Gu Seo-jin has a dissociative recognition disorder. This split personality began 15 years ago, and Seo-jin doctor Kang Hee-ae believes Robin is a testament to his guilt over a tragic event then. Jang Ha-na (Han Ji-min), the female lead series, has just returned to Korea after spending several years in the United States with Cirque du Soleil. The three characters engage in a suspenseful but heartfelt love triangle.

In the same year, the show became embroiled in controversy following an article in Korea JoongAng every day Author Lee Choong-ho, who wrote the website in 2011, said Hyde, Jekyll, Mise where the series was changed, according to a statement on his Twitter account that the screenwriter was of Kill Me, Heal Me plagiarized his work. MBC denied the plagiarism allegation, while SBS clarified that Lee’s statement was his personal opinion and did not reflect the position of the entire production team.

Fans of Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin should check out their first joint film released in 2018. The story is about Ha Chae-Yoon (Son Ye-Jin), a person emergency resolution for the Seoul Metropolitan Police Group which has a calm and cool head view. Min Tae-Gu (Hyun-Bin) is an armed smuggler for an international criminal organization. It sets a terrifying hostile situation and Ha Chae-Yoon only has 12 hours to save the hosts.

Thrown in Spain and South Korea, this intriguing fantasy romantic drama sheds light on Yoo Jin-woo (Hyun Bin), a fearless and daring CEO of an investment firm called J One Holdings and Doctor of Engineering, who has a talent for developing computer games. Jung Hee-joo (Park Shin-hye) is a hostel owner who engages in a series of mysterious events surrounding a new augmented reality game inspired by the stories of the Alhambra Palace. The drama is one of the greatest plays in the history of cable television.

With Hyun Bin as the powerful knight in the clear armor of Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok of North Korea and his now-true lover Son Ye-jin as Yoon Se-ri, heiress to the Queen’s Queen in Korea Right, the twists and turns of the story as a result of the divisions and controversies of their countries, your heart will flow, tears will flow and you will have a good laugh – all in the name of love.

CLOYThe last program rating made it the third highest Korean drama in cable television history, surpassing other tvN dramas 1988 Response and Protector: The Lonely and Great God, so far. Many argue that the series became an entry point to the black hole that is the K-drama la la land, and it’s not hard to see why.
