Sean Weissman was a bundle scorer last season in the Wolfsberger uniform in the Austrian league, but Spain is a whole other story. The striker has yet to produce a streak of games with a ball in the net, as tonight (Saturday) he finished a game without scoring in a 0-0 win over Valladolid in the away game against Osasuna. The player started in the lineup and was replaced in the 79th minute.
The Israeli has so far scored four goals in La Liga this season and one more in the Cup. In the previous round he allowed in his team’s important 1: 2 victory over Hattafa, and today he tried for the first time to win a second game in a row, but again failed. the progress of the game
In the tenth minute Weissman got a good long ball between two brakes into the extension, but failed to master it so well and tried to squeeze a penalty. The judge did not whistle. In the rest of the first half there were almost no threats on either side. In the 37th minute, Jonathan Kazeri’s goal from Osasuna was disqualified by the VAR system following a claim for dissent.
In the second half Weissman was much more active and got balls on the field. In the 54th minute he was close to the goal when he missed a little excellent ball. Two minutes later the striker tried to make a haircut close to the goal, but hit a defensive player’s head and received a yellow card for it. In the 65th minute Valladolid got into their best position when Weissman took control of a wide ball in a passing attack and left it behind to Fabian Oriana, who kicked inaccurately and missed the frame.
After all the dangerous minutes, the game calmed down and Weissman was unable to get to any more situations. In the 79th minute he was replaced, and at the end of his team returned home with a point when the match ended in a draw.
