6 years of Dum Laga Ke Haisha: Ayushmann calls film ‘voice of his beliefs’, Bhumi thanks ‘hero no 1’

Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar star Dum Laga Ke Haisha shook his sixth birthday, and at the time, the actors remembered how the romantic film was a much-needed break in their careers at the time. .

Although Dum Laga Ke Haisha was the starting point in Bhumi Pednekar’s acting career, he proved to be a turning point on Ayushmann’s Bollywood tour. The actor, who was reeling under constant failures after a strong start with Vicky Donor in 2012, found new life after this YRF film.

The film, directed by then-debutante Sharat Katariya, was about a married couple who find love immediately after overcoming the hurdles of prejudice. Ayushmann took to Instagram to mark the film’s anniversary and wrote that it sounded like the voice of his beliefs.

Bhumi Pednekar also took to social media and shared a video from where the film is. She got nostalgic about giving her the first look when she went back to the house they burned in Uttarakhand.

“A trip down memory lane, when I visit the place where it started :),” said Bhumi.

Dum Laga Ke Haisha was produced by Maneesh Sharma under Yash Raj Films. The film won three National Awards in 2016 – best Hindi film, best playback (female) singer honor for Monali Thakur and best lyrics recognition for Varun Grover.
