6 were injured in a fire that broke out in a building in Beit She’an

Six people were injured in a fire that broke out today (Saturday) in the apartment In a three-story residential building on King Shaul Street in Beit She’an. One of the wounded, a 35-year-old man, was seriously injured and was evacuated by a Magen David Adom helicopter to Rambam Hospital, where he was anesthetized and respirated. The other wounded were in a light condition.

Medics and paramedics from Magen David Adom who arrived at the scene of the fire provided medical treatment to the injured, who were injured by smoke inhalation. The five slightly injured were evacuated to Haemek Hospital in Afula.

Simultaneously with the medical treatment, three teams of firefighters arrived at the scene of the fire to put out the fire that broke out at the scene. The fighters rescued five trapped people from the building, one of whom was rescued unconscious and transferred to local medical officials.

Sapir Bokobza, an MDA paramedic who arrived at the scene of the fire, said: “First, five minor casualties were rescued from the building, three of them adults and two children, who were suffering from smoke inhalation. They were evacuated in MDA ambulances to the Valley Hospital. Following the searches of the fire brigade, another casualty was located, who was rescued from us unconsciously. We joined the helicopter in a nearby airstrip, and the wounded man was evacuated to Rambam Hospital in stable condition.
