Antoine Griezmann, Score: 10
An amazing fighting game by the Frenchman that was directly involved in four goals. Cooked, lamb, was in the right place and at the right time. For this they brought him. His best game since signing for Barcelona by a margin
Samuel Omititi, Score: 4
Two mistakes by the shrinking French stopper went up to Barça in absorption. In the first goal he did not keep the ball away well, in the second he dreamed of keeping Soldado. Rightly replaced
Football has historically provided memorable dramas, ones we will remember for years, and tonight (Wednesday) may not be the Champions League final, but it can certainly be said that Barcelona provided a huge performance of a lot of character and war, in a game that could be a turning point this season. The Catalans trailed 2: 0 until the 88th minute, and came out with the ticket to the Copa del Rey semi-final with a simply crazy 3: 5 at the end of extra time against Granada.
So what did we have? Two goals that shocked the visitors after two errors by Samuel Omititi, a dramatic equalizer in extra time, a turnaround in overtime, another equalizer by Granada and simply stunning goals by Jordi Alba and Antoine Griezmann, which presented an exceptional sacrifice game worthy of all appreciation. The defender scored the first double of his career in Barcelona, who in the fourth overtime in less than a month (!) Came out on top after a crazy encounter in Sevilla.

In a season where winning the league seems like a difficult to almost impossible task, and knowing that Real Madrid and Atletico were eliminated and relegated, the king arrives early, Barcelona realized that the second most important title in Spain is a very important goal. In a heroic comeback to do it against an unbroken opponent until the last minute.
Less than a month ago the Catalans celebrated a one-sided 0: 4 on this very pitch, but this time something just did not work at first, when while the attack got into situations, the defense did not work and Ronald Koeman’s decision to prioritize Omititi over Clemente Langela turned out to be a big mistake. The brake was great in the previous game, but it was not stable and went up to his teammates in the game with two errors in both goals.

Barça are in a good period, at least in terms of results, and Ronald Koeman sent the heavy guns Messi and Griezmann to the squad, when throughout the game the guest controlled what was happening, lay on the opponent’s goal and reached no less than 36 situations towards the goal (20 of them per frame), the most A lot in any game at least from the 2013/14 season – have we already said that this evening was rare?
In football, you don’t always score when you get into a lot of situations, and the local goalkeeper and defense were very focused and miraculously managed to keep a clean sheet in the opening, when the mistake came on the other side – Omititi sent a ball away badly and allowed Alberto Soro to cook for Kennedy in the 33rd minute. Unlike quite a few games this season, Barça were not bad at all, they were intense and stressed, but the finishing leg was missing and Saga’s goal in the first half was due to a lot of bad luck.

At the beginning of the second half, the Catalans did not even start thinking about a comeback, and had already taken another blow, when a bad closure by Omititi from behind allowed Soldado to score the second in the 47th minute. The guest tried to come back, the disappointing Trinkau bombed the crossbar and Omtiti was replaced by Martin Braithwaite, but it just was not Blaugrana’s day – until the 88th minute.
Messi found Griezmann in an ingenious long delivery, the Frenchman made an own goal of the excellent Escandal. Just before the final whistle, the Frenchman arranged for Jordi Alba the dramatic equalizer in a wonderful move and Barça’s war paid off for her with equality and extra time. In the 100th minute, Griezmann, who recorded an amazing game, turned in a shot from Alba’s cooking, but the Andalusians did not break and equalized an accurate Pada penalty just 3 minutes later.

is over? Not if you ask Frankie de Jong. The fiery Dutchman scored his fifth goal in the 108th minute in 2021 after a rebound from the ball that the goalkeeper stopped for Messi, who himself made a brilliant performance and was involved in goals, even if not directly. At this point Granada was mentally broken and Jordi Alba closed out an interest in an incredible volley in the 113th minute, after an equally handsome cooking by Griezmann. Barça are expecting another game in Sevilla, when they host Betis on Sunday at 22:00 with a lot of wind from this comeback, but also with quite a bit of fatigue.
