Maccabi Ashdod – Elitzur Ramla 96: 102
Maccabi Ashdod girls inflicted a second league loss to Elitzur Ramla, after beating them at the end of two 96: 102 overtimes. Daniel Adams, in a tremendous evening in which she scored 45 points and picked up 17 rebounds, led her team to the prestigious victory. This coming Monday, the two teams will meet again, in the semifinals of the Women’s National Cup, which will be held in the basketball hall in Yavne.
After an even first quarter that ended at 20:23 for Ramla, Ashdod managed to finish the second quarter with 14:28 and lead in the half 37:48 with 24 points by Daniel Adams, of which 5 3-pointers. An 8:23 run by the Herzliya girls in the last quarter gave them a 59:64 victory in an away game over Maccabi Urbani Ramat Gan, which played without abandonment Heidman. Jordan Gerzon’s great first half with 21 points and 6 rebounds led Raanana to a 40:47 advantage. In contrast, Sequoia Holmes, from Holon, issued 17 points in the first half. In the third quarter, Holon recovered and finished with 13:26, which gave it a 60:66 advantage with the opening of the last quarter. The visitors managed to stop Hapoel Petah Tikva with 16 points in the first quarter and 11 points in the second quarter, which gave them a 40:47 advantage at the end of the first half. 11 rebounds in the first two quarters The third quarter ended with 45:61 for Haifa.
