22.1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines dispensed, 6.7 million administered: US CDC

(Reuters) – The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it had delivered 6,688,231 first doses of COVID-19 vaccines in the country since Friday morning and dispensed 22,137,350 doses.

The amount of vaccine doses circulated and the number of people receiving the first dose for both Moderna and Pfizer / BioNTech, vaccines are as high as 9:00 am ET Friday, the group said.

According to what was posted on January 7, the group had dispensed 5,919,418 initial doses of the vaccines and dispensed 21,419,800 doses.

A total of 4,060,225 vaccine doses were dispensed for use in long-term care facilities and 693,246 people in the facilities received their first dose, the group said.
