(Reuters) – The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it had delivered 5,919,418 initial doses of COVID-19 vaccines in the country since Thursday morning and dispensed 21,419,800 doses.
The amount of vaccine doses circulated and the number of people receiving the first dose for both Moderna and Pfizer / BioNTech, vaccines are as high as 9:00 am ET on Thursday, the group said.
According to what was posted on January 6, the group had dispensed 5,306,797 initial doses of the vaccines and dispensed 17,288,950 doses.
3,770,425 doses of vaccine were dispensed for use on long-term care facilities and 603,313 people in the facilities received their first dose, the group said.
