Among. Social transition. Empty stadiums. 1.5 million deaths worldwide from COVID-19. Racial disorder sweeping the world.

No one expected the turbulent year we have seen and it is likely to go down as one of the most historic the world has ever seen.

Among those challenges, 2020 has seen success for Manchester City, from our men’s team lifting the third Carabao Cup victory in a row, to our women’s team getting back-to-back FA Cup titles.

The year was also a positive one for our Academy, as we won the second Premier League Under – 18 Cup in so many years, and then our first FA Youth Cup title since 2008.

We also wish goodbye to the great David Silva, who will continue the legacy of the Club for years to come, and extend our manager ‘s contract for another two years, with Pep promising City until the summer of 2023.

And in a year that has seen most of our football played behind closed doors, we know that, despite their absence, our fans have been with us. every step of the way.

Our team of club photographers – Victoria Haydn, Tom Flathers and Matt McNulty – were there every step of the way to document this amazing 12 months.
