
Concurrent with the Corona Panic in Washington, six games took place tonight (Tuesday through Wednesday) in the NBA, and in focus, the Los Angeles Lakers champion had no trouble with a 100-117 over Houston, and Brooklyn made an 18-point comeback en route to a 116-122 lead over Denver. In addition, San Antonio defeated Oklahoma City 102: 112, Philadelphia needed an overtime to beat Miami 134: 137, Utah had no trouble with 87: 117 over Cleveland, and Indiana defeated Golden State 95: 104.
Los Angeles Lakers (3: 9) – Houston Rockets (6: 3) 100: 117
48 hours after defeating the Rockets by 18 points, the champion settled for only 17 this morning, in a game that was one-sided from the first moment, and the difference swelled to 30 points in the second half in favor of the Lakers. LeBron James starred with 26 points and eight rebounds, and Anthony Davis finished with a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds. On the other side, Christian Wood led the loser with 18 points and eight rebounds, and James Harden settled for 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
Brothklin Nets (6: 6) – Denver Nuggets (6: 5) 116: 122
The Nuggets were already leading by 18 points in the third quarter, and already seemed to be on track for a third straight league victory, but Brooklyn thought otherwise with a crazy 4:29 run that brought them back to life. Later they managed to lose that advantage and two minutes to go, the score stood at 113: 113, but six points from Kevin Durant ensured victory. Unsurprisingly, KD was also the top scorer with 34 points, 13 assists and 9 rebounds, and alongside him Chris Lewart scored another 20 and handed out 6 assists. In Denver, Nikola Jukic led with 23 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds, Will Barton scored another 22 and Jamal Marie scored 20 of his own.

Philadelphia (4: 8) – Miami (4: 5) 134: 137 (overtime)
After three straight losses, the Sixers were able to recover and beat the league runner-up at the end of overtime and a particularly close game. During the legal time, the advantage changed hands no less than 12 times, and half a minute to the end of the hit led by five points, but a three by Isaiah Joe and two more by Joel Ambide forced 120: 120 and an extension that was close, but in the end also Was defeated by Joe (13 points) and Ambide, who exploded with 45 points and 16 rebounds, and alongside him also stood out Danny Green with 29 and 10 rebounds. On the other side, Tyler Hiro led the loser with 34 points and 13 rebounds, and Duncan Robinson scored another 26.

Cleveland (7: 5) – Utah (4: 7) 117: 87
A third straight win for the Jazz, in a game where the Cubs showed signs of struggle only in the first quarter that ended at 18:22 for the visitors, and then became a one-sided game with only a gap that only swelled and peaked at 34. Donovan Mitchell led the winner with 27 points, Jordan Clarkson scored 21 and dropped 8 rebounds and Bogdan Bogdanovic added 20 of his own. Chady Osman was the loser’s leading scorer with 17 points and 6 assists.

Oklahoma City (5: 5) – San Antonio (5: 6) 112: 102
The Spurs reached a positive balance at the end of a game in which, although they could hardly lead by a double-digit margin, they dominated for the most part against the Thunder, who were stopped after three consecutive victories. Six players scored in double digits for the winner, led by Lonnie Walker who led with 24 points, and Claudon Johnson who added 18 and 7 rebounds. For the loser, too, the burden-sharing was fairly equal, led by Shay Gilges-Alexander who finished with 20 points and 9 rebounds, and Hamido Diallo who scored another 16.

Golden State (5: 6) – Indiana (4: 7) 104: 95
After the victories over the Clippers and Toronto, for three quarters it seemed that Steve Kerr’s players were on their way to continuing the momentum even against the Pacers, who thought otherwise. After a weak start, Indiana recovered as the minutes went by, providing a final quarter of 20:31 en route to victory. Miles Turner excelled with 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Domantas Savonis impressed even more in the rebounds as he picked up 14, alongside 18 points. The Warriors were led by Andrew Wiggins with 22 points and 6 rebounds, and Steph Kerry took 20 on his own.
