Real Madrid defeated Valencia 0-1 and remained in the championship fight

The 23rd round in Spain continues tonight (Sunday) with four games. In tonight’s early game, Real Sociedad defeated Hattafa 0-1 away. Real Madrid remained in the championship battle when they beat Valencia 0: 2, their third consecutive victory. At 19:30 Levante meets Osasuna and the cycle will close with the battle between Villarreal VI and Betis VII.

Real Madrid – Valencia 0: 2

Zinedine Zidane’s team did not have too much difficulty on the way to a third consecutive league victory, which was temporarily in second place and prevented Atletico Madrid from escaping it. On the way she also took revenge on the bats that defeated them 1: 4 at Mastia in the previous round. Until the quarter-final game against Atlanta, Real have only one test left – against Sean Weissman’s Valladolid. The Blancos started with a lot of control of the ball and in the tenth minute came the first dangerous threat but Marco Asensio missed from a comfortable position.

Two minutes later the goal came – Karim Benzema kicked a round off the field and subdued Khauma Domenesh. The champion could not rejoice for long when Danny Carvajal, who had just returned from an injury of about a month – could not continue and was replaced in the 27th minute by Lucas and Essex, in very bad news ahead of the upcoming Champions League quarterfinals.

Just before the break came the goal that closed the game – in the 42nd minute Tony Cross doubled the result after a brilliant offensive move on the right side that ended with a pass from Vasquez. In the 50th minute Asensio could have scored the third after reaching one-on-one in front of the goalkeeper but the ball escaped him at the last minute.

The champion is not a crushing team and was therefore satisfied with this result even though the guest gave up. Zidane had time to give some rest to his players when Santiago Arribas replaced Asensio and later Isco and Mariano Diaz also came on to play. Benzema and Luka Modric were replaced.

Hattafa – Real Sociedad 1: 0

David Silva, who has been absent for long periods this season due to injuries, returned to the Basque squad for the first time since the 15th round and these are in excellent form especially ahead of the battle against Manchester United in the last 32 of the Europa League (first game on Thursday). The Basques put together a second straight win for the first time over November and climbed to fifth place in the table.

The only goal of the game was scored in the 30th minute when striker Alexander Isak continued his excellent form and scored the ninth season in the league, six of them in 2021. Mikkel Oyersbal could have scored himself but hit the crossbar and then the Swede kicked the rebound. In extra time, the winds heated up and coach Jose Bordlas, who had just returned from suspension, faced a Sociedad player. Hattafa on the other hand continues its collapse with a third consecutive loss at zero, a fourth game without a goal and a fifth game without a win.
